Interstate Bowling Competion
« on: March 11, 2006, 04:04:07 PM »
Wouldn't it be cool if every state put togather 2 teams of boys, and 2 teams of girls, and competed with other states until a single state emerged victorious?

5 people, similar to how the high school operates with baker games and individual matches, I just thought a competition like that would be fun, a nation wide bowling tournament bowling for your home state. Could be some crazy dream though.

How would you determine the teams? would you have some kind of "try-out" or would just 5 random people put a team together? Because then its not fair to those talented bowlers who wanted to bowl.... If you are serious about this, you should talk to USBC...

Statewide touranments would probably work good. The best way would be to run 5 seperate tournaments similar to how the MJMA tour works: 8 games qualifying, round robin match play, and finally stepladders. With the winner earning a spot on the team. Each tournament could be held in a different part of the state.
You guys are forgetting about the thumb state, we might suprise you larger states.

Hello,

It will hopefully interest many of you that we are working hard behind the scenes to create something exactly along these lines... think Junior DIAMOND, baby...

Howdy,

Nothing specific yet... it is time for all the Tours to work together to create a true National Tour Championship.  I'll be a busy boy.

Thanks,
Jeff
