Hawaii is always awesome due to the fact that it is Hawaii... and the Aiea Whiz Kids always put on a great tourney and make everyone feel very welcome so Thank You To Them...
Scores Were I would say Lower This Year Than normal
There were no 300 Games and the high game of the tourney went to Nathan Hoffard and Ivan Yee for shooting 290's

The boys cut to make it to the semi's ( 6 more games of qualifying) was -137 for the boys and then - 395 for the girls... they took the top 36 boys and top 24 girls

then for matchplay the boys cut was +108 and i have no idea what it took for the girls.. i do not have the stat sheets, my friends dad does so when i get em i will post it....

Matchplay was interesting as always and nathan hoffard and myself were the only "mainlanders" in the top 12... the hawaiians took over this year for sure.

the top 5 for the boys was 5: myself 4:kellen inafuku 3: Cy Hiyane 2: Raymond Ledesna (sp?) ... and # 1 seed was Ivan Miyasato

the stepladder was on the low end of the house for the boys and for the girls was on the high side...

the girls top 5 was  5: Adrianna Jaime  4: Natalie Jiminez  3:Starr Hamamoto  2: Samantha Jiminez  ... #1 : Shaina Carnate

In the girls i do not know the scores but...
match 1: natalie def. Adrianna
match 2: natalie def. Starr
match 3: Sam Def. Natalie (sister Vs. Sister)
Finals: Shaina Def. Sam  for the title

In The Boys:
Match 1: Sherman Def. Inafuku  259 - 224?
Match 2: Sherman Def. Hiyane   244 - 234
Match 3: Sherman Def. Ledesna  268 - 258
Match 4: Sherman Def. Miyasato 223 - 213

hope to see a lot more people there next year... and have an even better turnout... this year there was about 150 people bowling which was up from last year which is great!

congrats to everyone who made the top 5

Mason, nice bowling bro. Making the top #5 is awesome in itself. I clicked on this link, because Raymond Ledesma (correct spelling here!) bowls out of my house and his dad spoke to me at the bowling alley 2 weeks ago and mentinoed that he was going to the Islands.

That's awesome that you made the Top 5, climbed the ladder and took the title. I'll talk to Raymond if I see him (usually works thursday nights) when I bowl league tonight. Great bowling dude!

Mason, you bowling out of Cali?

Regards,
Ramtart
