Teen Master Sport Shot
« on: June 26, 2005, 12:55:50 PM »
Well, I've had the fortunate opportunity to partake in such an event having only to pay 99 buckaroos. I've never bowled on a sport shot before and thought it would be a good experience and fun also. Anyway, wasn't having too much fun the first game as I ended up with about 5 opens in a row giving my a 122

It's amazing how much error room we have in our house shots and we still end up complaining about something whether it be the weather or the laneman. I found that the shot forced you to be super consistent with speed, axis rotation, revs and the works. My Absolute gave me the best read and played from 25 out to around 10. Get it out to 8-9 board and say goodbye the the headpin, you'd be lucky to hit it. If you dont get it out to 10th board, you had better hope it's crossing over to spare you going through the nose.

Overall, I found that this was much more fun, having to actually work and focus 100% to put up decent scores. Which I did not succeed in though. Placed 3rd, needed to get 2nd to go to nationals as only 9 people attended. Was behind about 24 pins I believe. Anywho, it was a great experience and looking forward to bowling on another sport shot in the near future. By the way, the other scores were: 171(2), 180, 193, 176. So are these scores pretty low or are they a decent set for one who has never set foot on this type of shot before?
