Where To Go To Repair Bowling Bag?

I have a Radical Double Tote I bought in August, and Wednesday after bowling, one end that the strap attaches to ripped.  I can get a new one under warranty, but I have to pay shipping back to them, and, if they determine it was my fault, I would also have to pay to have it shipped back to me.

It should be a simple fix, I would think anyone with a heavy duty sewing machine could fix it better than new.  I am figuring that would probably be cheaper or about the same price as shipping it across the country.

Anyone had this problem?  Should I just go to a normal place that does alterations on clothes, or is there another type of place I should look for?  I am clueless on what that might be.

Depends on how much the tote cost. If it's $30 get a new one but don't but the Radical. Buy a vise they are well built and last!

It was around $45 but I don't want a new one, the new one will just break.  I have two and I figure if I can find a place to fix it, it will be better than new.

After I posted the original question I asked my 84 year-old mother, and she suggested shoe repair place as well!

Just to update, in case anyone else has a similar problem.  The shoe repair place was a good place to try.  He said he would repair it for $8, which was probably cheaper than shipping it back to the place I bought it.  And for $15 he reinforced the other 3 strap ends (I have two bags) and also repaired the side strap on one that had ripped when I had pulled it out of the car by one strap. 

And he guarantees it if it breaks again, so I can't go wrong.

Nice to know shoe repair stores will handle this.

Also, I have had a zipper on a 3-ball roller repaired at a stand-alone luggage store that also does luggage repairs.  If you think about it, our bags are just pieces of luggage specifically used to transport bowling equipment...

I have got to take the top half of my 4 ball KR roller to get it fixed. Seem around the shoe compartment is coming apart.

Need to buy some 600D cloth to keep it around for these problems, that way I have the material and only need to pay for labor.

I was thinking the same thing.  Any Redwing shoe shop would work.
