Robert Smith

Last night Robert was at Jeffs pro shop in Bay city Mi doing a meet and greet for Elite bowling. He show cased there balls and other products. I have had the pleasure of meeting Robert in the past and he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. What I want people to know is that my friends son who is 7 years old was there bowling and Robert was talking to the adults at the time, he excused himself and walked over to Ethan and spent some time helping Ethan with his timing and release. People need to see and hear about the great things that pros do such as this. I want to say thank you to Robert and good luck with Elite our sport needs more people like you.

That's a great story. Robert Smith is a great guy. He was very nice to my son a couple years back at the stop in Long Island.

I too bowled with Robert when he and Tony Reyes had a Storm clinic in my area.  It was great and both are class acts.  Congats to Robert on his comeback win.

I just read something in the paper this morning, that Robert Smith returned to the PBA recently after a lay-off and that he now lives on the Big Island in Hawaii for the past year.  Great to hear he is doing well and that he is a nice guy.  Maybe I'll bump into him if I go to the Big Island or if he comes out to Oahu.

He lives in Ohio now... I think after being layed up like that Hawaii got a little too expensive.

Like Robert Smith's persona, find it ironic he would find a city to live in that resembles his bowling style (Captain Hook, Hawaii)

I understand his move to Ohio is part of his Elite contract. Its much cheaper to fly around from a somewhat central location than from Hawaii.

I bolwed a regional that he was at and talked to him a little bit. He is exceptionally nice and he did say he was moving to ohio. He said HI was great to visit but when you are on an island that you can drive around the whole thing in 5 hours that it doesnt take long to get bored because you have seen everything there. I am glad hes moving to ohio that way I can compete against him in more regionals. I dont find it weird that he was using the cheetah on the shark. With his revs he could probably use plastic.
