I have noticed that I leave a very large amount of 4-pins. I might leave 1-2 10 pins a whole night and leave about 6-7 4 pins in a night...Is it too early hook/not enough angle? Meaning I need to ball down to something longer and more angular?? I usually am throwing my Bounty Hunter Pearl. But if I throw my original Break same results.

Of course it's always caused by the head pin hitting the 2 pin incorrectly. The sharper your entry angle the more susceptible you will be to 4 pin leaves on high hits. Hard to say without watching you bowl but too much skid-snap reaction will cause the problem. Since you're having the problem with more than one ball changing your release to use less rotation should help.

^ what he said or you can make a move with your feet by taking a 1 or 2 board move left to get the ball off the head pin so much. You have the opposite problem of my dad. You seem to like hitting the pocket very high, my dad on the other hand likes to hit the pocket dead in the pocket. Perfectly between the 1-2. Then can't understand why he's leaving the 7 pin SOOO much. I told my dad to take a half step back and all of a suddon he's carrying out the house.

So make the 1 or 2 board left move, throw a few games, then report back with a result.

Side and finger weight is the solution to all the carry problems eh? Tell that one to Mo Pinel.

The 4 pin for a righty is very common if you have too much entry angle or your ball is too high in the pocket. Either coming around the ball less or a slight move inside with your feet should help you get away from the leave. A 4 pin is usually a sign of a nonoptimal hit, you usually aren''t hitting pocket.

i also leave more 4 pins than 10 pins. when i leave the 10 pin i either move back about an inch or right half a board so it will go just a little higher. when i leave 4 pins i do the opposite. i move up just a little or left half a board so the ball won't hit too high.

ya so after you deal with the static weight and you stop leaving the 4 pin you can go to a different shot where it leaves the 4 pin again. why drill a hole in your ball to solve a tiny carry issue when all you have to do is make a minor adjustment...

The crazy thing is I don't create much entry angle. I have very low axis tilt and the house doesn't have a lot of head oil. I know I am hitting the pocket high I just dont trip a 4 very often. Maybe it is too much angle but it just seems like I create less backend than than other bowlers that are tripping them.

If you are leaving a lot of 4's that means you are on the head pin too much. Move a board left and all should be fine.

I heard of a young bowler in New York that never left a 4 pin or any other pin in several entire series. He must have figured out a way to carry all the pins.

Don't overthink this. As many said, in simplest terms leaving a 4 pin generally is indicative of being "too high" in the pocket. Some people will trip the 4 pin more than others on a given night because of different entry angle or entry board, etc. Your ball could be rolling out and hitting high, thus reducing your chances of tripping the 4 pin, but that's speculation without watching.
When you start leaving 4 pins, you need to move, simple as that. If the ball still comes up high, you might need to move back and "ball down", as you said. The 2 balls you mentioned will be pretty aggressive on the backends and the Break could be rolling out on you. Hard to say for sure what's happening without watching it.
You might have balls that are simply too aggressive. In your profile you mention you have a Lunatic, Creature Solid and Link. Have you tried any of those?
