WSOB VI PBA CHALLENGE
« on: January 18, 2015, 04:41:33 PM »
In my opinion it was a good show. EBI was well represented on the show, especially Columbia 300. It was a fun break from the normal shows and it was good to see the PBA50 bowlers being represented, Teens being represented and showcasing Women Bowlers in anticipation of the PWBA returning. Josh Blanchard and EJ Tackett bowled pretty well, showing off the current and prior Rookie of the Year.

Interesting show.

Liked the PBA urethane ball on a "long", 36' pattern and a PBA plastic ball on a 26' pattern. I think the PBA should have a show like this, but probably the one with the greatest speed/accuracy combo would win.

I couldn't watch/stomach all of it.  enjoyed Amleto vs WRW and the regional face off.  Making the kids bowl on that condition and with those balls made no sense.  The women did nothing for me and the all-winner eliminator seemed like nothing but filler to me.  I have to give it a 6 out of 10

I like watching the low volume short pattern.  The gal is a good player, I felt sorry for her.  She obviously bowled well to make the show.  It looked to me like she was a little nervous and didn't make the adjustments that would have allowed her to shoot a decent game.  She had a great roll to play such a pattern.  Limiting to urethane and plastic was probably a good think on a 7 ml pattern.  I would throw plastic on such a pattern no matter what I was allowed to use.
