Kind of a strange contest. A lot of prople are at a terrible disadvantage because they don't or haven't played poker especially if it is Texas Hold'em. Some people have absolutely no interest in poker or cards of any kind. Now if the game is just five or seven card and is just luck then that is another story. Eric please clear up for all of us.

The tournament will be held in a No Limit Texas Hold'em format.

So many potential customers will have no idea how the game is played and/or have no interest in cards. Just a strange contest to run in conjunction with the sale of a bowling ball.My opinion.Nothing to do with bowling as it has been in the past.

But it is a nice way to get people to try poker, because the entry is free.

My question is as long as I have the form, and the proof of purchase I can sign up right?

For example:

As notsohotshot said there are people that don''t like poker, but want the ball.
Is it possible for me to offer such said person say 1/3rd the cost of the ball for his form, and proof of purchase?

seven card is hardly luck...not when played properly.  I clean up in the Stud/8 sections of HORSE events.  Yeah, the occasional cooler may come along (I lost with quad kings that I had by fifth street) to a guy who rivered a straight flush...but that was in a freeroll.  In a cash game, donkeys like that tend not to chase that long with betting raised and capped each street...

That being said, I do question the wisdom of the promotion, concurring not only that not everyone plays poker and more importantly, not everyone that DOES play wants to play the WSOP-ME.  I know a lot of people that would be out of their element in that event but might actually be comfortable in the lesser bracelet events (ie. the $1K and $2.5K by-in events).

Anyone can register with each unique POP code.  If you buy the ball for your wife but you want to play, register it under your name...etc
If your fortunate enough to win the seat and are unable to play or have no desire to play in the main event we will handle on an individual basis.

This promotion is not mandatory.  Its just a new fun and exciting promotion we are running to reward our customers.  We are the only company that does stuff like this.  ENJOY IT!

I HATE poker, and am hard-pressed to think of ANYTHING I consider to be a bigger waste of time.

To be considered successful, a promotion should appeal to a wide swath of the general audience. This one seems quite limited and very focused on a specific group of people.

Your equipment is great, and I hope you sell so many new balls that you can't keep up with demand, but if you do, I don't think it will be because of this promotion.

If you don't like poker and still want the ball whats the difference between buying this ball and any other high-performance ball?? You still get a ball when you buy it!!  I don't see what the big deal is. I think its a cool promotion and I will definitely get in on it if I can make the online tournament...

By the way A LOT of people were at a disadvantage on the Bounty Hunter promotion too because they will probably never bowl a 300!!! Thats how most contests are some people are gonna have a lot better chance than others. Like Eric said they are the only company that does anything like this so just enjoy the equipment and their generosity!!

just because you hate poker, doesnt mean the "wide swath" of people hate poker.  dont know if you know this but poker is very popular right now. unfortunately maybe more popular than bowling.  where do you think the PBA got the WSOB, hmm maybe from the WSOP which is a huuuuuge event.

back to topic, i think its a good idea.  if i threw 900 equipment, i would definately give it a shot.  good luck with it, ill definately throw in a good word at my shop on this promotion

It's a different kind of promotion.  As a card player or not, it's interesting.  If you are going to buy the ball anyway, but don't want to play the poker tournament, sell it for like $40 to a person you know that does.  Most tournaments that offer a seat to the WSOP main event go for a lot more than that, so you can get a little bit of cash back on your purchase.

Just an option..

Oh, I don't need a promotion to buy G900 stuff, heck it's great stuff, I just failed to see the attraction of this promotional event.

A promotion would never stop me from buying, nor would it induce me TO buy, I just stated my opinion on poker (it SUCKS), and feel like they could've had something with a wider public appeal.

Like I said, I hope the guys in S.A. sell so many balls they can't even make them all.

This is a great promotion, and I for one appreciate the effort that Global 900 is putting in to even offering something like this. They are doing something they certainly don't have to do and people are complaining about it?
