Big night with an S-75
« on: October 19, 2011, 10:05:14 PM »
I just wanted to tip my hat to Eric and the gang at 900 Global!  They have been producing some of the best stuff and I did it some justice last night.

I picked up a Break S-75 for a reasonable price a few weeks ago and after changing the cover to get it where "I" wanted I settled with an A pad in the NEAT system.  It was my first go with since the surface change and it worked.

Game one was front 7 then wiffed a 10 pin in the 8th, X 9th, X / for 246

Made some small adjustments after the 10th and threw the next 20 in a row.  Put up 300 then had front 8 in game three but was derailed by a pesky 10 pin!  Bagged out for 279.  After the dust settled I piled up 825.

It is my 2nd 8 and 2nd 300, I am glad to say that I did it with Global!

For the record the A pad seemed VERY similar to the OOB.  What it gave me was a touch more mid lane and a slightly more controlled back end.  The break point moved up about 2-3 but I was still able to play a stong arc to carry the pocket.

Way to knock 'em down!

Nice shooting. I was thinking of trying one of these NEAT pads on my S-75. I usually keep mine polished to keep it from burning up and lately with the more oil we are getting it has not been finishing that well. From what I have read these Neat pads seem to be between polish and sanded. Where can they be purchased? I would also like to try my Break with one of those finishes.

Those NEAT pads are the way to go.  I picked up a Break Out from a guy one here, he had it polished up pretty good.  I resurfaced it and finished it with the T pad, didn't like that reaction.  Did again, A pad this time.  Still too much over/under, so I hit it a 3rd time and found a surface I could match up too.

All I can say is they seem to leave a consistent surface topography.  No I'm not looking through a microscope but compared to the Abralon pads the surface is much more consistent.

Hey Joe, what are you asking for the S-75?

Of course, it's the best place for it...at least to get optimum return.  Just keep me in mind.  I'm still looking for a weaker or lower end 900 Global solid.
