Black Eagle
« on: January 20, 2012, 02:26:58 AM »
I am surprised that no one has posted anything about the black Eagle coming out in February.  I know it is basically the same as last years Eagle but still, for anyone that didn't get the purple one, this could be a good addition.

 Showcase
Destiny or shall we say DYNASTY. This coverstock and core combination continues to finish at the top of the leaderboard year after year. The Black Eagle clears the front of the lane with ease, before unleashing a strong ball motion off the breakpoint.

As an added incentive 900 Global has put up $5,000 for the top 5 scores shot with “The Black Eagle” at this years USBC Championships in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

This will sell much better. I didn't understand why they made it purple the first time. The ball is so good and was tough to sell because it was purple. I honestly think that this ball may never go away cause it is that good. I will be drilling one for me plus some for others as well I am sure. I think they should have gone with the A pad instead of the T pad though.

I like the Black and I have had a few of the other Breaks and liked all of them.

I doubt color was an issue. Didn't effect the 3d Offset. I actually like the purple. Its a good looking ball, so is the black.

Working in a pro shop I can guarantee that the purple hurts sales. I have recommended the ball to people and had them say no way cause its purple......There are still some people that don't care but thats a small percentage of people.

I have the purple and love it. I will definitely be purchasing the black one and drilling it different for a nice 1-2 punch on heavier patterns like USBC.

Don't know anything about a Buzzbomb Carnage....However it will be quite a bit weaker than a Nano. Depending on your stats and your THS though it might cover more boards than the Nano just won't handle quite as much oil as the Nano. I would say it is a touch too strong to be considered a benchmark but it gives you that benchmark type reaction. Good length and a strong controllable arc downlane. My guess is in your arsenal it would fit either where the Carnage is or between the Carnage and Nomad. I can honestly say this is one of the best balls I have ever thrown. There is a reason they keep remaking it.....

Don't know about the carnage, but the ball that is probably closest to the Nano is the Bank Roll or the Train.

That being said, from my experience with the Black Break, its more than enough ball for 95% of all conditions you'll see. I could use my Break on anything from Cheetah to Shark, and on most house shots. You can follow the oil line really well with this ball.
