Might have to do some major surface adjustments on the Lunatic to be able to use it drier conditions....that ball is pretty darn strong!!!

I love most of the G900 stuff I've thrown. However, I believe that both the Lunatic and the Link are markedly stronger than the OOB cover rating implies. OOB, for me, the Lunatic worked best on Med-Med Heavy and that the Link was great on Mediums. I fooled around with the covers on both but I was kind of disappointed that were both were stronger than I felt that they were advertised to be. Neither is a bad piece, just stronger than expected.

Without a profile or any other reasonable explanation, this comment is completely ridiculous and insulting to any decent bowler with any, however handicapped, set of bowling skills.

I doubt even a moderately talented bowler would have trouble disdaining the vast difference in lane conditions that only the multi-talented bowlers at your main house can decipher. Gimme an f'in break. Come down to the real world.

Yeah...you all da mans with da hands. None of us podunks would ever figure out your patterns.

I think the thing that would be the biggest problem in using the Lunatic as a dry lane ball, is not only is it a bit stronger than what I would choose for a dry lane ball, but it's very early.  I drilled mine with the pin below my bridge, and the CG kicked out slightly to the right of my grip.  This ball rolls very early, and does have a smoother breakpoint than a lot of newer "high performance" equipment have.  I tried it on Cheetah in my PBAX league tonight, and it was just a bit too much for it, not quite enough recovery for me, when I got it outside, and just went a bit high if I moved outside a little.  Could be a good ball to tame down the overreaction on some house shots, and a nice smooth reaction on Viper through Scorpion conditions, but I agree the Lunatic is probably a bit strong for anything below medium-dry.

i still have a NIB maniac so idk what it does, haven't decided on a layout for it, but my Link was very close to my Neptune, after polish, the ball is completely hates oil, as soon as it finds any, it just slides slides slides but on the drier conditions its just what the doctor ordered

I'm only guessing, but I think perhaps 900 Global uses average revs and ball speed to base its recommendations on the lane conditions for which their balls are best suited.

I say this because I have average revs and average ball speed and their descriptions have been dead on for me.

It's probably a wise decision for them to do this.  As far as customer satisfaction goes, it is preferable to have customers think that the balls are stronger than described rather than weaker than described.

i agree with you lefty i do think its going to be stronger than advertised. but i dont have ton of revs thats why i think it will work on dry if not i believe polish will do the trick.
