Bounty Hunter Layout Help!!
« on: March 01, 2010, 07:25:46 AM »
I just got a Bounty Hunter X-Out and was wondering if this would even be a good ball for a righty? I''ve never had the CG this far out of line. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

positively not.. sell it to a lefty.. you want the cg on the left side if you can help it.. inline and straight is best though..

I don't see why you couldn't do something like pin under the middle and mb in or next to the thumb. obviously you will need a weight hole to make the side weight legal.

yep this would work, preferable MB next to thumb i think, also burry the fingers so you can get your weight hole down bellow your midline.. should work out just fine!

I think the key is how much top weight does it have! TOO MUCH and you might have to drill for oil

Use "IT" and BOWL UP A STORM!!

2 1/2 oz top weight

i knew it would be best for a lefty since the cg was on the right but i wasn't sure if it was even possible for a righty. i'm looking for a lot of backend if possible but just wasn't sure if i wanted to even keep the ball. i had a bounty hunter with only a .5" pin and i hated it so figured i'd give a blem a try since i got it REALLY cheap but just didn't get to choose any specs. not bad specs just bad cg alignment.

thanks for the help guys i really appreciate it!!

pin under is not going to help if you are looking for backend(on this ball).. you will have to change and screw around with the cover a ton.. could you drill this and maybe it might work for you or would you rather do it the right way and try to find another bounty hunter ball with a better lineup(take the time).. or take a chance to maybe hate the ball and waste the money.. its your call....... just my $0.02.........

That's a pretty messed up ball even for a lefty..it should be considered and xxxx-out not just one x! All kidding aside, pin under middle may work but you will probably need to make surface adjustments along with a weight hole.

thanks to Eric from Global 900 i have a layout in mind. Here is his suggestion.

"Your most likely looking at pin above middle for a little extra length
or pin below to start in the mid lane. Either way its most likely a
5.5'' pin from your pap so it should store some energy. When you put
the weight hole in it try to use a big bit and don't go as deep. Best
option you have with the specs."

Thanks again Eric this just adds to the AMAZING Customer Service the guys at Global 900 have. These guys will help in any way possible!!
