Break Pearl S70 Reaction?
« on: April 08, 2009, 06:51:45 AM »
I picked up a Break Pearl S70, from another lefty.
Looking at the flare rings, he tracks about 4" down from the fingers, and 3" down from the thumb.

I normally plug the fingers and re-slug the thumb on his used equipment.
He has started using equipment with the MB on the right side (track) of the thumb to smooth his equipment out on the backend.

I'm a higher tracker 1/4" from the thumb, 1 to 1-1/2 from the fingers.

Here's a picture of the layout....

What will the reaction be for a higher tracker?

I can vary my speed, revs, tilt, etc., fairly well.

You'll probably flare over the holes.

I was kind of thinking the same thing.
I can lower my track, but it makes my shoulder problems flare up.
I'll have to plug and redrill it...thanks.

Why was the MB so far right for a lefty?

Won't track over holes unless PAP is 5 3/4 or more.

To smooth out the backend.

I took it in to be plugged.
My driller said the pin is in a perfect position for me...
So I'm going to give it a try as it's laid out.

I threw the ball first time, last night 3rd game, on Pro Anvilane.
I was surprised by the back end, with the MB position.
Threw the last 6 w/the ball, threw my Lane 1 SuperNova XP for 3 ball in 10th, for 255. The Break Pearl was about 3-4 boards stronger at the backend than the XP.

Next ball will definitely be another Global 900.

Ryan,
Which 900global would you recommend, to take to Vegas for the Nationals?
Break Point?

I love the S75 and BP combo. The S75 is quite a bit stronger, so if its too much then the BP is the next step.

duke: I am taking S75, bounty, break solid, awakening, and maybe my link for the 40 framer.

the s75 gives me the ability to play left and get it to return when nothing else can.

the boutny allows me to play straight and get enough roll in the mids to control and still carry. (most controlable ball ever...even compared to the gamebreaker)

solid is pretty much the same as my bounty for me but it has more backend (doesnt roll as much in the mids)

the awakening is something i doubt will work out there but it has been working on the pba league ive been bowling that has been using the usbc pattern so i figure bring it...it lets me play right on top of the pattern (12-8) and it just rolls off the spot...

Ryan,

I'll be picking up a S75 for sure.
I'm taking a (Track Rising SE or Lane 1 Carbide +, not sure which), and the S70, S75 and a plastic ball...4 balls.

Thanks,
