Break Point Pearl
« on: July 03, 2009, 11:29:50 PM »
Just had my first 3 games with this little gem.  Lane were oiled to 38 and buffed to 48 with no dry boards.  Hardly the ideal condition to test it out, but I wanted to throw it to see what it would do.  It's laid out pin under ring finger with the MB medium strong.

Knowing that it wasnt going to hook given my speed dominant shot, I just pointed it up through 10 board.  The resulting 2 or 3 boards of finish resulted in amazing carry percentages.  IN 3 games I hit the pocket 15 times for 13 strikes and 2 x 7 pins (lefty).  It also carried some off hits as well so I can only say good things about this ball, especially given the type of condition I used it on.

Can't wait to use it on a shorter pattern, especially if there are a few dry boards

you'll like it even more when you can use it on a pattern with more back ends and more friction. Ball is not only possesses great eye appeal it is a strong pearl with a very angular back end. My first night out with it on a med to med heavy 42 ft pattern new HPL it showed its true colors no pun intended. Has a ton of recovery !!!

Not to rain on your parade here but you used the ball for 3 games (30-36 frames) and you only hit the pocket 15 times?

I understand that the condition wasn't right for the ball but c'mon....a less than 50% pocket hit rate?

Guys on here are going to rip you apart in terms of your credibility.....

Doug,

The pattern was extremely tough and suffice it to say, the area was only a couple of boards at the end of the pattern.  Added to which, we changed lanes every game so there was no chance to burn a track to the hole.

The main purpose of the post was to highlight the hitting power of the Break Point Pearl on a condition it was far from suitable for.

Tonx,

Thanks for the support.  Saying nice things about a lefty fluffer?

What is the world coming to?

OK understood. YOu have bigger stones than I do....no way would I leave myself open for such criticism and for the haters to show up and bash both me and the ball.

Best wishes.
