Creature saves me from the Viper

First night of a 12 week PBA Experience league and they laid out the Viper.  I started trying to swing my Black Widow Bite, but either couldn't carry the 7 pin or jumped high for a split.  I switched to my Cell and it only made matters worse...first game threw a 148.  

Decided to move outside with my Creature and things significantly improved...215, 202, and 190.  I can live with those scores on the Viper.

Out on Viper is almost always a good bet.

I always play in on the Viper... I think it just varies due to style, as do the other patterns.

It also depends on the lane surface, oil, weather, who's bowling on your pair, etc.  I bowled out on the Viper in my PBA Experience league this summer when the oil was fresh, and played it deeper inside during practice when the pattern had dried up at the same house.  I also played inside on the fresh pattern in a tournament at a different house because of the very, very, very old wood used in that house.  I was able to start with my Second Dimension inside and play right around the track area until it burned up, and then I moved right and played straight up the outside with my Mars later in the block.  I ended up finishing that block in 4th place.  (I then executed really, really poorly the next day at a different house on a different oil pattern, and combined it with bad ball reaction to miss the cut to cash and not make match play.  Sigh.)
