Eric Thomas no longer with Global
« on: August 11, 2013, 10:28:48 AM »
Found out this past week that Eric is no longer with Global.

I called there to place an order with Eric and was told that he has moved on.

I wish him well in his new adventures.

He always found the time to talk, email me back in a timely manner when I asked him for advice and ball questions.

I am sure he will have success in the real estate business.

Good luck and thanks again,
Mike Thill

I agree, he was always nice to talk to and went out of his way to help me with any problem/question I would have.

They lost a good one in Eric, that's for sure..

Eric Thomas, you will be missed. You were the single reason I continued to throw A.M.F. stuff as long as I did.

ALWAYS had time to answer a question, reply to e-mail, and made sure that customers were happy with the company and its products.

Good luck in your future endeavors.

His customer service was the best!! I called him about a problem with a ball and I had the replacement in two days!! He will be missed and I hope his replacement is equally as good! Just my $.02, Bruce

Agreed, Eric is a great asset to the bowling industry and his talents and expertise will be greatly missed by everyone. He was always quick to provide advise and never hesitated to fix a problem when it came to his attention. A true class act simply put.

On a side note, did anyone notice that Matt McNiel is no longer with 900 Global/AMF? Think he has moved to Brunswick since his enrollment and addition to the Wichita State Bowling team. Hope he comes back after his time there. He was great for the promotion of 900 Global & AMF products.

Eric was a great asset to 900 Global/AMF. Did they give a reason on why he decided to move on? Wonder who will be taking over his position at 900 Global/AMF?

I wonder if it has to do anything with Figs jumping ship from EBI and taking over 900 Global/AMF.  But in either case, Eric is known as one of the good guys and I wish him the best wherever he may end up.

Although I didn't think about it at the time, it makes total sense now that I did not see him at the ace mitchell trade show on the 31st.....

Eric is a class act and, has been said before, was never too busy to answer questions from anyone...be it on the phone or via email.

He was a tremendous asset to the company....he will be missed by 900/AMF and the rest of the bowling industry.

I wish him all the luck in his new endeavor.

Figs is a really cool guy as well! He bowled in the league we bowled in Clarksville, TN when he was with Track! I've talked to him different times and when he would go to some of the local tournaments, he was very nice!

I believe it had to do with spending more time with his family.
Not sure how much he had to travel for Global.

It will be interesting to see who becomes the "face" for Global/AMF.

Did Figs (Paul Figliomeni, former product manager at Track) replace Eric at 900Global?

Eric will be missed for sure. Whatever he is doing now, I am sure he will be successful. He was a big influence on my involvement with 900 and was always there with advice and support. Great individual. Good luck Eric in the future.

It will be interesting to see who becomes the "face" for Global/AMF.

It could possibly be Robert Smith, since he is designing the new Global Elements product line for them.  Smith has also been doing many demos for AMF/900 Global over in Asia for the past several years and helped them grow internationally.  Plus, he bailed on the PBA to stay with 900 Global last year since 900 Global was loyal to him.
