Polished Break pearl vs Cell Pearl
« on: May 27, 2009, 05:33:56 PM »
Im looking to check out 900G but ive been looking into getting a cell pearl for a while now.

How close, if drilled the same would the break pearl be to the cell pearl, provided that theyre at the same cover prep?

Anyone thrown both??

i have all the cells and ive thrown most of the break series, they are good stuff, when it comes to the pearls, in my opinion they are very similar, both hit very hard and can cover some boards, if anything the cell pearl's coverstock might create some more friction on oil and seems to be slightly stronger(were talking like 3-4 boards) compared to the break pearl but overall they are very close, you cant go wrong with eather one

Someone told me that they thought the break point was a dull pearl.  Anyone have any idea how a break point at the same cover as a cell pearl would react?

the break point is more of a hybrid coverstock, its a mix of the break pearl and the break s75, plus they tweaked the core to make it longer and angular then the s75 but smoother then the pearl

compared to the cell pearl, it will have a little less length and be a little smoother off the break point

im updating my post, after drilling up my cell pearl, there isnt a pearl out there that compares to this ball, it is crazy on how much it hooks and hits like 1000 tanks when it finds the pocket, i dont think there is another pearl out there like it

also i was wrong on my previous post, the break point is NOT a hybrid coverstock, it is still a reactive solid but the qualities stated above still remain true
