Raw Profit review and video
« on: October 31, 2010, 01:19:18 AM »
I drilled this gem up 5 ¼ x 5 and man did it look sharp!  The orange and purple color scheme really pops!  I drilled this ball to hopefully compliment my Break Out with something similar, but stronger off the spot and I couldn’t be any happier with the results.

I first tested this ball on a typical house shot on beat up HPL’s.  Also since the house I bowl league at allows open bowling all day before league basically I was able to test this on two patterns at once since one lane was pretty beat up and hooking quite a bit with some carry down before we started.  The other lane had some carry down as well but was at least an arrow tighter.  This was going to be a good test for this ball.

I was constantly surprised all night how this ball could get back from anywhere, through any amount of carrydown.  It was fun to throw and gave me a good look on something I usually struggle with at this house.

I was also able to give this ball a good workout on the 2010 USBC Open pattern on a new Pro Anvil lane surface as well.  Here is where I was able to compare this to the rest of my arsenal.  On this pattern the Raw Profit was about 2-1 stronger then my Break Out drilled about the same at 1000 Abralon.  The difference in the two balls though was entirely how they behaved off of the friction.  The Raw Profit reacted much faster to the dry and was much more angular down lane then the Break Out.

I also threw this against my Bank and it was about 3-2 weaker, but with the Bank being more rolly in the midlane, and then strong and continuous, where the Raw Profit was clean through the midlane, and then very strong off the spot.

All in all this compliments the Bank and Break Out perfectly and I can’t wait to get some more games on this thing!

Here is the link to a shot of the Raw Profit.

It's only one shot but it gives you a look.  I hope to have a longer and more detailed video up after I can get some more video shot.
