Respect Ball Review

Review for the 900 Global Respect

First thing I noticed about this ball was how sweet the color combination looks it's very eye appealing but that is not the most important feature to this ball.

The reaction from the Respect is something I can say I haven't seen in a 900 ball ever.  It's low Rg core helps the ball pick up in the mids and the cover gives the ball a strong angular motion at the break point.  On THS I was able to use this ball all 3 games but where the ball shined was when I needed to move in and open up the lane from in.

I can see this ball in all types of bowlers hands from speed dominate to rev dominate players.

Great work 900 this one is a keeper!!!  Please let me know if you have any question I would be more than happy to help.

Fascinating!  In a post I put on the PBA I asked about Jason Belmonte and Chris Barnes not being seen this year!

It morphed into a discussion that covered a lot of 900 global balls and Barnes move to 900!

A comment was made regarding the Respect saying it didn't have much Midlane and that was good for Barnes!  The above review differs?

???

Barnes has liked only a handful of polished balls over the last couple of years.  Because of his roll, polished balls that rev in the midlane seem to squirt downlane for him.  The Respect actually hooks for him at box finish, especially downlane, which isn't something he has been used to in recent years.

I wasn't super excited about the Tetra core initially, but am now.

Thomas,

Could you comment on the difference in perception of midlane, between the comments in the PBA section and the review here.

I know drilling patterns can change movements.  I see midlane and backend from both the Respect and Moxie!

Thanks,

There is a big difference in the covers from Hoptown and either San Antonio or Utah.

And remember, Mr. Barnes is a company man and always gonna say the right thing and he is still in the honeymoon phase with his new equipment.  After 10 years of seeing the same type of motion something different is going to be a welcome change.

Lucky Lefty I will agree I see mid-lane in both balls but the Moxie has more mid-lane reaction.  Respects is a tad longer and it's more off the spot than Moxie.  Now with that being said Moxie has been one of my favorites and I'm able to use it from deeper angles in which I didn't think the ball would be able to strike from.  The Respect for me shines from 5th arrow for me. I will also share I had to put the Respect away when I was on complete burn and I believe that was due to the low Rg core it simply didn't give me enough push to keep it in play.   Everyone will interpret ball reaction a little different but as I mentioned above this ball will be suitable for many styles.  Hope this helps.....

Hosel,

I have only seen the videos but that agrees with what I see.

They look like great balls.
