The Nuts
« on: July 18, 2011, 07:09:26 AM »

Ok, besides the amazing cool name, this ball is truly the nuts.  I drilled mine 4x4, it makes the raw profit look weak.  The new neat finishing system from 900 Global is unbeatable.  You would swear there is polish on the ball, but yet, there is none.  Still, the ball has no trouble getting down the lane and then making a continuous motion through the pins.  This ball is actually in my experience, pretty close to the Nano from what I have seen, the only difference is that this ball seems to make a better motion down lane, the cover and core combination is perfect, unlike the nano, which seem to puke when it gets 3/4 down the lane after you put 40 games on it.  This ball is a must have for this upcoming season, Guys with more tilt or who get around it more can use a stronger drilling to open up the lane, the straighter guys who roll it more, use something tamer, keep the CG and MB closer to your centerline to keep the ball from burning out too early if you come across drier fronts/midlanes.  Next time you shoot a big score with this ball you can smile and tell your opponents you had the nuts! Nice Review.

Great comparison to the Nano, I am so sick of hearing how the Nano is makes every other ball obsolete that I want to puke.

How was that a great comparison? He hasn't even thrown one... said it looks better... and he reps for 900, of course its going to be better. I agree with the constant Nano banter being old but this was not a comparison at all.

Didnt he state what he has seen the Nano do and compare to the Nuts? That is a comparison granted not the best comparison but it is still comparing. Most reviewers don't compare anything just tell you how this ball is the latest and greatest.

IMO a experinced bowler can get a decent idea of what another ball is doing compared to his own by watching it being throwen like a how pro shop owner watches some one bowl before helping them make a ball choice.

BigHook I am stating my opinion if you don't like it I don't care.

Kinda have to agree with both of you guys, Ive seen several Nano's in my area. And from what ive seen its not so much the ball as it is bowlers not using the Nano on the right lane condition-most Ive seen people are trying to use it on med hvy at best, and its gonna puke especially with a half way strong drilling.

I know it sounds like a broken record, but Ive had to come to the realizitaion myself that this new stuff expecially upper end requires far more oil than I regularly see. Again, I dont see any bad balls out there, just bowlers not matching up their equipment to the correct conditions, jmo....

BTW, I have see the new Global ball thrown on a hvy shot, and it looked really good. Sorry for the rant....

Perhaps, however take a loot at his other review recently posted and he takes a shot at storm there too... if you think that "which seem to puke when it gets 3/4 down the lane after you put 40 games on it" is a great comparison then so be it... to me seems more like just trying to push the product.

 Well when ever you compare one ball to another aren't you a pushing product then? I read the other review he did about the Wisdom and I think he is just using Storm as his examples because right now Storm has the popular gear on market.

Would you rather he use Ebonite to compare? Or Brunswick?

<Billy Mays ON>

It's new, it's improved, and WOW, it's AMAZING. The all new and improved WONDER BALL. It slices, it dices, it hooks on ANYTHING!

It SLICES through those pins, DICES those racks, and works on anything from gravel to TEFLON!

Got dry? This baby goes straight as an arrow. Got oil? This thing takes a left turn on ICE, it's INCREDIBLE.

Due to a new formula that NOBODY ELSE HAS, we've been able to create the most fantastic ball ever. No matter WHAT the condition, this ball is the answer. Works just as well at 50 grit as it does 50,000 grit, AND MAN, THIS THING HITS LIKE A RUNAWAY FREIGHT TRAIN!

But wait, theres MORE! Order yous today, and we'll throw in a matching pair of shoelaces and an unbreakable ACE comb! Now you can not only bowl in style, but you can look well groomed while doing it. Imagine the looks you'll get when you're bowling with your new WONDER BALL!
