Virtual Gravity vs. Bounty Hunter
« on: January 14, 2010, 02:36:09 PM »
I don't know much about Storm products but I just ordered a Bounty Hunter and was wondering if anybody has thrown both of these? If so how do they comare. I'm trying to get an idea how to drill my bounty hunter and at the house i bowl at, just like many other houses, the virtual gravity is the popular ball. I just want to give my driller an idea on the best way to drill it for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I had a couple of Virtual gravitys and as what I think is, the Bounty Hunter is a little bit earlier for me but pretty much the same motion as the virtual. The difference is, the my virtual quit hooking after about 30-40 games, as ive seen this happen with many balls. The bounty hunter didnt lose much reaction after this many games.

I'd agree with the previous poster.
VG has a sharper backend. The BH is much earlier and smoother, and being a particle ball handles more oil, in fact, requires more oil than the VG.
I'd even go so far as to say, that for the average bowler with avergae ball speed and average rev rate, the VG is a step down from the BH, that they'd make a 1-2 combination. I think the BH handles that much more oil than the VG.

I agree with both posters. Also, the VG for me shined up after a game and the BH has about 20 games on it and still hasn't shined up compared to the Virtual Gravity.

Not sure if this is the same as other posters but the BH is way stronger than a VG, even with a week pin 5 3/4 from axis.  The BH is the strongest ball front to back on the market today.  I would recommend not drilling it to strong because of overall strength of the ball...good luck.
