Which weightblock...

Would you wrap in urethane, coming out of 900's line?

Personally, I think a Solid Urethane Hook would be awesome.

Too much flare/differential.
I'd suggest the Wisdom.

But the more important question is what kind of coverstock should they use.
The Hype Urethane was a bust because both the coverstock and the core was too strong: old urethane and too high a differential.

The coverstock on the original Seismic Desperado, made with the cooperation of 900G and Seismic was great. It was not only a pearl but it had silicone added to increase the basic length. The target should be something on the order of the coverstock of the Storm SuperNatural.

I agree, Charlest. Maybe the Link or Missing Link weightblock inside something similar to the SuperNatural. I gotta say, that SuperNatural looks pretty sweet.

I kind of like the Wisdom weight block: highish RG and medium to medium-low differential.
Wt    RG                    Diff
16 lb  2.554                0.036
15 lb    2.571                 0.035
14 lb    2.590                 0.034

With the numbers posted on the Wisdom I would go with it. It gives you flexibility on reaction with a urethane cover. You have plenty of x-hole options to increase the diff and make it more angular or keep the diff close to where it is and be a smoother reaction to friction.

Urethane does hook and when you have a core with a higher diff it can be more ball then you originally hoped for when being used on lighter oil.

No love for the Cobra SE/King Cobra (light bulb core)? Think that core is an easy choice for a urethane cover. Favorite/Longshot core is a close second.

The way I feel:
King Cobra - too low an RG for an effective urethane.
Cobra SE _ too low a differential; you do need some flare for an effective urethane.

The first thing that came off the top of my head was the Sure Thing core, its only a .043 dif but after reading about the Wisdom, that wouldnt be a bad choice either (never threw one but the Sure Thing is GREAT).....i was thinking the Lunatic/Jewel core but the diff is a little higher then the ones already discuss

after looking at some of the older stuff, the Creature core seems ideal too, little lower RG then that of the Wisdom but still see it work in urethane
