Allowing for the differences in the coverstocks, the Wisdom should roll very similar to the Karma line at Brunswick.

Bruce,

Actually the Noize series got that core from the San Antonio-based Columbia TiBoss series, as indicated in this summary, but it's only generally similar in appearance:

Almost more interesting is that it's not available in 16 lbs.!

What's up with the Seniors comment?

"The Benchmark ball for Seniors.

The Wisdom provides Senior bowlers with a ball that will fit slower  ball speeds but yet still have power, and most importantly control down  lane.  By using a high Rg with a medium differential core, and a milder  S65 pearl cover, the Wisdom will not over react and give Seniors exactly  what they desire, a performance ball that fits their game!"

Scott,

I'd guess that it's not supposed to overreact if you throw it too slowly or with too many revs for your ball speed. I'm not sure how that core is supposed to help since it seems kind of average in appearance and the coverstock strength is kind of high.

I'm a senior and I have more ball speed than a lot of younger guys! I may not have the rev rate of some younger guys, but I've got more than a lot of them!!! Yes Charlest the core is from the TI Boss line and with the changes in material to alter the density you create your differences in rg's and diff's.  Not saying it's a bad core design just similar in appearance! Plus, I like the coverstocks better from 900 Global over the Hoptown brands, but did like the balls from San Antonio before the buyout!!!

Here's the specs from the Cool Noize with almost the same core spec numbers:

But, Bruce, the Cool Noize is an "Ebonite Int'l" product now, and the Wisdom is a "San Antonio" product. They can't be sharing cores.

Wonder if Ebo will give 900Global a hard time over the core shape ?

Maybe, especially after the Manufacturer's Team Shootout!!! The numbers and core shape looks very similar and it maybe the case that 900 Global inherited the core when they bought the Columbia/Track manufacturing facility!!! I know they got some other cores that were used in some Storm balls/turbine cores, per Steve Todd of Storm!

I gather from my conversations with the guys at 900 that the Wisdom was designed with senior bowlers in mind. Doesn't mean anyone can't use it and is likely a strong ball in the hands of a lot of bowlers. In the hand of an average rev rate, slower speed senior it will be more controlable and still retain power at the pocket. Same concept applies to the Pearl, with its market being the ladies. It would likely be a good ball for others just not sure how many guys want a diamond ring on the side of their ball or pink and red cover.

The Nuts according to Eric is the strongest back end reaction they have made, definately skid - flip with more back end than even the Break Point Pearl. With the Bank Roll having the greatest total hook potential of any ball they have made. Each of the new balls fitting a specific market demand.

Roll with 900 Global.

I actually like the reaction of the Jewell better and not worried about the color, I liked the Warlock DC Tour by Visionary and it was pink/magenta!!! I think the Wisdom will be a very usable ball on a lot of different lane conditions and a first ball out of the bag to get a great read of the lanes!!!

I feel Global makes a wide variety of equipment that will fill most bowlers styles. We have to remember that what works for one person won't always work for another. Heck Scott33 knows me and what works for me probably won't work for people.  I am usually a ball or two down on the hook scale from others. So don't be afraid to ball down rather than up.

Almost all things are better when they come from Texas.Except maybe the USBC. LOL

I've been throwing one for 3 weeks now, simply money in the bank, one of the best medium oil pearls I've thrown, revs quick, stable roll and a bunch of hook under control !!!!!

The Senior crack was said in jest in that I am decrepit.

Of all the other manufacturers that I might try 900G is the one that I am temped to give a shot.  Why?  Because they seem to have all the bases covered at this point in time better or a better looking ball reaction than what I see from others at price points that are easy to live with.
