Finish: NEAT (2,500 grit). 900 Global’s NEAT finish creates the most consistent finish on any bowling ball in the industry today. The A finish on the Bullet Train optimizes the strength of the Combustion Core with the aggressiveness of the S79

This has got to be one of the strongest balls I have thrown to date. Out the box finish, I had no trouble getting out down the lane on the fresh condition the 4 1/2 inch pin I used seem to be a little too much down the lane ...So I figured I would wait for some carry down or until the fronts went bad and see if I could get it to use up some of that energy.
Well it worked like a charm back to back 279’s and  a survival board win and 2 big game pots .The beauty of this ball is its hitting power and how well it reads the Mids. The core design is flat out awesome.....I think global is on to something here...I need to see how it responds on the fresh with either more surface or a weaker pin but for right now all I can do is give this ball 2 thumbs up. Definitely one any bowler with good fundamentals should have.
the desire to win is easy talent without discipline is mediocrity... ...

The new Bullet Train has excellent eye appeal and is a great compliment to the Freight Train. I laid the Bullet Train out the same as my Freight Train with a 4 X 3 pattern and tested them on a 41 foot pattern. The Bullet Train was very smooth and even rolling through the entire pattern. The Bullet Train was not as angular as the Freight Train at the back of the pattern, so I was able to chase the shot left and the ball made a very smooth move back to the pocket with no problem. The Bullet Train is a lot smoother than the Freight Train because of its hybrid cover stock and can be used on a wider variety of patterns so if you threw the Freight Train and liked it then you will love the Bullet Train.

With the combination of the S79 cover, and the "A" pad, this baby could be the strongest piece on the market. Feel free to free wheel it on most patterns, except for really short ones. Best bet is to get two of them, and lay one out to grip the mid lane, and polish one off for a strong skid flip for adverse conditions. Compliments the Freight Train very well. I have two Freight Trains laid out differently, so no matter what, I can crush most patterns using the Train Line. Laid mine out 12 to 6, so the ball only does what I want it to do. Must keep up on the surface! THIS BALL HAS TEETH IN OIL!!!!!!

I drilled this ball pin over the bridge and kicke the cg under the ring
finger, then i took the surface to 4000 and a light polish. The ball is
still strong. The polish makes the ball go an extra couple feet down
lane.

#15 Bullet Train
axis point 3 5/8"
tweener, 15mph
Lane Conditions - THS, Sport & Kegel Challenge
Lane Surface - Synthetic, AMF, Brunswick
Surface of bowling ball: Factory/Polish
What grit was the surface of the ball? Box, 2500 A pad
Likes: BIG strong Hook, very continuous, heavy oil ball!
Dislikes: Where has this been?!

1st off the Bullet Train is a monster on the lanes!  But also VERY playable on the lanes.  I like the versatile hybrid cover. Drilled this very basic pin up 6" from PAP right over the label.  I'm a slower tweener and didn't want this one to burn up too fast.  Put some compound polish on it as the ball looks really dull even though it's Global's A pad finish.  OOB 760/290.  The ball was aggressive but I was able to stay with it for 3 games without much trouble.  Moved 5 and 3 total for the night.  Has some skid up front, a strong midlane read and a stronger hard arc on the backend.  Carry was super.  What was impressive is that the last game when everyone was having carrydown issues I had none to speak of!  290 finish!  Other bowlers on the pair using IQ's, Aura's were having issues with getting the ball to finish.  I'm extremely impressed with the ball's hitting power and cover that's very tweakable.  Bullet Train's a winner on medium to heavy for any style in my book!

LANE CONDITION

Length:39ft

Volume:

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):house pattern

COMMENTS

Likes:What I like most about the bullet train is its "train core", this symmetric core is very controllable down the lane, making it especially valuable on fresh or more demanding patterns like USBC open. I first tried using this on fresh house pattern 39 feet, and its cover was a little too strong for me. So I took it back to shop and took it through NEAT finishing system starting with N and ending with T and dirty ragged the cover. Well the results were better than expected. That next week I shot 822 with ball when nobody else on pair shot better than 675! This ball will allow "heavier hand" players like myself or players with low rev rates be able to get inside of oil line of pattern and just be able to change or hand position and watch the ball respond to what you want to do with it. This will probably be my first ball out of bag this year at USBC open championships. My pap is 5 15/16 by 5/16 up, I drilled this one with a six inch pin. Well done 900 global!

LANE CONDITION

THS: 42 ft modified Stone Street
Sport: 40 ft WTBA Athens 2:1 ratio

COMMENTS

It’s somewhat disappointing 900 Global is not PBA approved, especially seeing how this ball really had more to offer on the tougher patterns than it did the house shot. On the house shot, most bowlers will like a ball that has a bit more pop which allows some forgiveness. You can still be very successful with this ball if you prefer more direct lines. On the other hand, most bowlers will love the control and continuous roll this ball has on flatter patterns. You might want to be careful on lighter patterns as this ball is likely to lose too much energy with the aggressive coverstock finish.
This ball is not the punchiest ball on the backends, but it offers control and continuation. At first, we weren’t in awe with the ball motion. However, as we understood better how to use this piece, we were thoroughly impressed with the continuation and carry. We did find it a very nice step down to the really big wheeling pieces when you just don’t need a ball that will hook the whole lane. That means it will be usable on medium patterns and longer patterns like the 42 ft house shot we are using.  It also generated a fair bit more entry angle than we anticipated when we evaluated it using Digitrax.

LANE CONDITION

Length: 40 feet

Volume: light/medium

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): League and Challenge

COMMENTS

Likes:The Bullet Train is a great overall Benchmark for several different conditions.  The cover can be changed on it to give it remarkable versatility.  In fact, I have two, one that stays dull and one that is polished up.  The polished one gets through the heads incredibly clean and retains a ton of energy for the back ends.  I have noticed an increase in carrying those pesky corner pins with this ball.  The really nice thing about this ball is it doesn’t over react when you miss a little here or there.  My league condition is really, really wet/dry with old wood lane beds and this ball is perfect to handle that sort of condition with no roll out!  That is a really a fantastic trait to have in a ball, especially since all of us will miss from time to time!  When I’ve been asked who best would benefit from this ball the answer is simple: Everyone!  This ball is a winner from Global and if you are looking to take your game to the next level, you need one of these in your arsenal!

Likes:All aboard the Bullet Train! This is a great ball if you are looking for a more aggressive pearl. I truly love the length I get from this ball. When the heads fry I know I can turn to the Freight Train to give me the length I need in the front and a crisp turn into the pocket. This is definitely my go to ball when others are reading the lanes too early.

The Bullet Train

Layout: 45x 5x 45

The Bullet Train is an awesome addition to the 900 Global Line. It adds a touch of length to what the Freight Train has and even more versatility than coverstock that the Freight Train has.

On a fresh house shot. the Bullet Train makes a smooth predictable move down lane with good strong roll in the midlane. As the lane opens up, The Bullet Train keeps the same type of roll but the move down lane increases tremendously. I can move my feet 7-10 boards deeper and the angle created by this ball was a complete suprise to me. I figured I would start pinging 10s. That is not the case, the ball came alive. Its rare today to find a ball that can make it bell to bell and the Bullet Train is that kind of ball for me.

On sport as long as you can find volume to help the ball down lane the Bullet Train performs very well. If you are on a pattern with lower volumes early then you may want to try another ball. The Bullet Train allows me to move into the out of bounds where many other balls cannot be used. Playing there the Bullet Train allows you to stay firm with confidence.

The Bullet Train
if you are looking for an aggressive smooth reaction ball this is it. There are no surprises when you roll it. Smooth through the heads and even smoother at the break point. Nice addition to the previous trains.
