Got this ball a couple of months ago specifically to combat dry lane conditions I see on league sometimes when our heads get burned up. Everyone who told me about this ball told me the ball "clears the heads" extremely well.
The layout was a little odd. On a 2" pin, we drilled the ring finger right through the pin. CG is in the palm, towards the middle finger side. Mass bias is 4 o'clock beside the thumb.
In box condition, the ball skidded entirely too much. Even on the driest shot, the ball went through the breakpoint and did not have enough oomph to turn the corner. We took it down to about 1000-1200, and that seemed to fix the problem. The ball now has a more usable set of angles on dry lanes.
I throw the ball about 16-17 mph with about 250 rev rate, maybe a little higher. I'm not seeing as much hook in the backend as I would like, even on dry. Perhaps it's the drill pattern we have on the ball. In most cases, I can really make a ball face up to the pocket, but I still have a little trouble getting this ball to do that.
However, the controlability of this ball is better than I thought it would be. It is allowing me to play the right half of the lane even when the lanes are dried out, and I don't have another ball in the bag that can do that.
I didn't get what I was looking for when I bought the ball, but I got something else that I can still work with.
