AMF is still top notch!
« on: October 04, 2011, 03:44:44 PM »
Punched up an AMF Grip monday afternoon and went to practice with it, and it is a lot stronger then advertised almost as strong as my bank roll. So i hit it with 4000 ab. Took it to the lanes tonight in league and went 223 with an open in the 9th then 300 then x, 9/ 8/ changed to the 900 Global the Nuts and finished with 257 for 780.

For people that think AMF is a joke company now days they need to try them, they will not be disappointed.

Grip is drilled 40x4.25x25 with a 1' weight hole 2 inch deep 5 inches from COG.

Nice shooting!  The Grip is one of the best pieces out right now, imho.  Congrats again, and keep knocking 'em down.

Congrats on the 300.  Even though I don't throw AMF, I think that they along with 900 Global do have some very good pieces out on the market right now.  It never hurts to try 1 of their pieces.  After all, it could become a favorite.

 Congratulations on your first 300!!

I agree. AMF has made many great balls, many in the last 12-15 years. They usually "fly under the 'RADAR' (one of their classic great balls)".

I know this is an old thread, but I agree.  I think AMF products are extremely underrated, and yes, still "flying under the radar".

I've always found 900 Global and AMF to be very un-rated bowling balls.    They use good coverstock and core combos and the balls do the right things on the lane.

They might not be flashy like some other popular brands but they work very well.
