Blue Heist
« on: January 03, 2011, 02:18:16 AM »
Is there any difference between this and the burgundy Heist Pearl? I noticed the finish was different, but are the core and cover the same?

I'm almost 100% certain the Blue Heist are 2nd's of the original Heist.  Maybe Tekneek can chime in???

Yeah, I would like to find out for sure. I loved the solid!!! Just was looking to get that pearl if I could. They are pretty cheap online.

Thank you for your help. It was almost impossible to find this out online. There is next to no information on it at all!!!

They are not the same.  I have two of the Blue Heist, and also have a Heist Pearl and have owned a Heist.

The Heist for me was a med/strong ball with a 4" pin to pap drilling.  It was a very smooth rolling piece.

The Heist Pearl for me was a very weak ball with a 5" pin to pap drilling & a nice roll on the backend.  Not snappy like you would think a pearl to be. I was able to play closer to the channel with this ball, playing right down 10.

The Blue Heist, with a 2" pin to pap drilling, is a very clean piece through the heads, and a strong almost angular move on the backend.  I am standing about 8 left of the Heist Pearl.  Playing around 16 at the arrows with a swing out to 5.  And like I said, it has a very big move on the backend.

Also, if I recall, I believe the Blue Heist is a different cover and core.

Thank you...I'm very curious about this. I'm sure it's a great ball either way, but I would like to know what it is I'm buying if I decide to make the purchase...

Message:

The info I was given it was to be an overseas release, but never happened, suppose to have same core as original Heist just a diff color cover. A few went overseas to Australia

Hey Tekneek

In the AMF forum a guy was looking for information on the Blue Heist and I thought that the Blue Heist was a second of the original Heist?  Is that correct or am I mistaken?  Thanks!
