My Velocity
« on: April 28, 2005, 04:34:08 AM »
I have a Velocity, drilled w/pin right above ring finger, mb is 1 1/2 inches rght of thumbhole, balance hole about 3 inches right of ring finger.  I know normally that would be a decent hook, but w/the coverstock it goes really long.  I'm thinking about dulling it to play more area, similar to how my Triumph AMP moves, even though that ball is drilled weaker (must be the coverstock, mb 1 inch left of thumbhole, pin at 1oclock)  Any idea if that's what I'll get out of it?

Think I'm gettin a supreme justice, thinkin about the drilling.  based on my amp drilling, if i get it drilled the same, is it gonna go long, with a strong backend to cover more area, or should i think about moving the mb to the right of the thumbhole, which may cause a weighthole or it being too strong or illegal in 2-3 years (usbc)?  My amp was pretty strong w/its drilling (pin at one oclock, touching the ring finger hole, mb about 1 inch left of thumbhole. Now i throw on synthetics, little more skiddish, but i still want that strong angle to the pocket to knock out those ten pins.
