omg a true blessing of a ball
« on: April 14, 2011, 10:48:34 AM »
Ok first of all this is one heavy oil ball I am pleased with. I bought it based on the before released review I saw at bowling.com on the hope that it would be stronger than my alpha max that wasnt exaclty what i was looking for. It is. Now for the blessing.

I took it to the pro shop to be drilled and i asked him to drill it pin under bridge with the cg 45 degrees,he was kinda busy with piddly other stuff and got sidetracked. Drilled it pin over, but said i could take the ball and he would order another and drill it liked I asked, really, omg. Couple days later the ball came in he drilled it and all in all I got 2 balls drilled for one balls purchase price and today it payed for itself in spades. I used the pin under ball for the first time today and if I had been smart and stayed with it I would have shot 700,but I had to switchonly shot 650.

The thing about this ball is that it holds and finishes, but doesnt burn. I know this is gonna piss some of you off,but the shot broke down and I never had to move and really didnt have to change from the fresh to the breakdown this ball stayed true to its line. I know the lanes were dry, because I went to my rising star and it flipped so hard it was rediculous, but at the start of the set playing up 10 it barely got back to the pocket. There was a 25 board differenceby the 3rd game of where i could play the rising star and i moved 2 boards all day with the omg and never lost pocket, carry went away by the 3rd game ,but it still held pocket I could have adjusted ,but went into practice mode. The omg is one of my favorite balls in a long time and the fact that I was blessed so in getting 2 for the price of 1 and cashing with it the first time out how can you beat it. This is a great ball and having two with different drills is a plus in every way. I always wanted to do this and it is a great idea, anyway thanx amf for a great piece I recommend to anyone for a strong and versatile piece. Oh yeah it is stronger than the alpha max and taboo hands down.

Um, what?

You didn't have to move with the OMG, but had to move 25 boards with the Rising Star because it got so dry, but the OMG is a great oil ball.  Is that really what you were trying to say?

Telling it like it is.
