Amazing customer service. (Vertex Ball Spinner)
« on: March 03, 2012, 02:01:21 PM »
Ok, I have to share my customer experience with Vertex. My 1/2 hp spinner had an issue where if I tried to put some good pressure on the ball when polishing a ball the spinner would slow down. I called Doug Tasker from Vertex and explained my issue to him. He told me that it sounded like some small part like a coupling cracked. He told me that if I sent it in to him he would fix it for me no questions asked. He even tried to give me a call tag to ship it out to him. I was amazed! I told him that I would gladly pay the shipping if he would fix my issue and ship it back. He agreed. Now here is another amazing fact. I shipped out the spinner on Tuesday and the spinner was back on my doorstep by Friday. How cool is that!!! The spinner works perfectly again.

My Vertex spinner was the best investment I have ever made when it comes to buying anything bowling related. The spinner does not vibrate or shake like some other brands. I have to say that if anybody is wanting to buy a spinner they MUST consider Vertex.

Big thank you to taige690 for messaging me with Doug Tasker's phone number and to Doug Tasker and Vertex for making everything right!

I agree 100%. Doug has always taken care of me when I have questions or issues with my ball spinner. That's why I always recommend them over any other personal ball spinner company. Customer service years after you bought their product is what is important to me.

I've used Vertex spinners in my shops. They last longer than pro models costing 3x as much. Tremendous value.

Doug did something similar to my Vertex a few years back and with the same great customer service. Fixed it free and shipped it back free. I'm going on 8+ years now. Torque on a spinner is much more important than horsepower. I still can't slow mine down with fairly firm pressure. To say I've gotten my money's worth from it is a major understatement.

Charlest, HP is directly equated to torgue in a motor
you will benefit directly from more HP

I built my own spinner with a 3 phase 1/2 hp motor and a single phase - 3 phase freguency drive
has unlimited speed potential settings between 1 rpm to 1800 rpm if so desired

do most of my surface adjustments at 300 rpm with abralon pads and clean n dull
works awesome

I am extremely satisfied with mine as is. I wouldn't change it for the world. Will consider a new 1/2 hp Vertex when this one dies in 15 or 20 years. I regard this device in the same way people USED to regard Maytag appliances - the repair man is one lonely individual.
