I just got a pair of these last week!  Haven't had a chance to play around much with them, but they do feel quite comfortable what little I have used them.  First pair with the iinterchangeable soles and heels so still trying to adjust there.  They don't appear to be stiff.

Those are not the SST6 LX's, those are just SST6's...

I have the kangaroo leather SST6LX which are really soft.  Also, have been using for the last month the Blue/Black Heavy Metal SST6's which are stiffer initially than the more expensive SST6LX.  They will soften up upon use, how much? I dunno; only worn them for a month.  I bet they will soften up quite a bit given time, like all leather shoes.  I just bought a pair of the  Burgundy Heavy Metal SST6's.  Love all the SST6's.  Great shoe, IMHO.

Minor detail?

Not so.  If you happen to be a kangaroo.

I think that Allstarbowling-Joe had several pairs of SST6's on one of his threads.
