Win airfare for your entire team to the 2006 ABC Tournament in Corpus Christi, TX. Your team is eligible by having your team photo taken in the ABC Tournament squad room. A random drawing will take place at the conclusion of the tournament in Baton Rogue! Two teams, one from each division will win round trip airfare!

"Etonic is proud to be apart of the ABC Tournament," said Bobby Laster, General Manager of Etonic's Bowling Division. "This tournament is one of the premiere events in all of  bowling and It is a "perfect fit for Etonic."

When the 102nd American Bowling Congress Championships Tournament kicks off at the Baton Rouge River Center on Feb. 12, it will do so with a record-setting 13,222 five-player teams.

The total gives Baton Rouge the non-Reno record for team entries in the ABC Tournament and places it fifth all time. The 13,222 teams easily surpassed the previous record of 12,203 in Knoxville, Tenn., in 2003.
The more than 65,000 bowlers will compete for a prize fund of nearly $5 million, also a non-Reno record. The 102nd ABC Tournament kicks off with Opening Ceremonies, presented by Hibernia National Bank, on Feb. 12 and the event wraps up July 4.

"Basically, we are looking at a sold out event this year," ABC Tournament Director Brian Lewis. "We filled just about every squad we opened, which means there will be bowling going on from 7 a.m. until 2 a.m. nearly every day from start to finish."

The 2005 Tournament will include entries from all 50 states, Canada, Italy, France, the Grand Bahamas, Switzerland and Germany. Illinois will field the most teams (1,054) followed by Texas (1,019), Michigan (895), Ohio (883) and Wisconsin (678). Host Louisiana will send 328 teams into competition.

The four largest ABC Tournaments were held in Reno, averaging nearly 16,500 teams in 1995, 1998, 2001 and 2004. All of those Tournaments were held at the National Bowling Stadium.

Although entries are closed, individual bowlers who are interested in bowling may be able to fill roster spots on teams that have been unable to field full teams. To find out about vacancies, visit the abctournament.com Web site and click on the "sub board" line on the right side of the page.
