Finger inserts...
« on: December 18, 2006, 04:38:36 AM »
Who makes the firmest finger inserts out there...I'm currently using 10th frame inserts and don't really like the feel and how fast they're wearing out.  I'm worried about doing without inserts because of finger damage.

I don't know about the firmest, especially since I haven't tried them all, but...

With tenth frame (being all that my local shop carries) I had to replace inserts every other month or so, bowling two nights a week mostly with the same ball.

Since I started ordering Vise inserts online, I haven't had to change any inserts at all in about 9 months. Specifically I use clear powerlift/oval on the powerlift side.

Purely anecdotal but there's my $.02

I've used both Vise and Turbo Grips and finally settled on the Turbo Grips because the Vise get sticky at times. Especially when my hands sweat or in hot weather. Never had that problem with Turbo Grips. Turbo makes both soft and firm grips. Even the soft grips seem to wear for ever.

i've used nothing but vise grips for the last 11 years. vise grips has the styles and colors for anyone. plus they feel firm without being hard. they were the first to offer 1/2 sizes as well.
