SST8 interchangeable push-off soles

Hi, I'm looking to buy a new pair of bowling shoes, i've been looking the dexter's SST8, but was wondering, do we really need interchangeable push-off soles and heels? apart from changing from right-handed to left-handed (useful if you plan on selling the shoes or sharing them with someone else) I cannot think of a situation when I would like "less traction" from my push-off shoe. I would like to hear other opinions about this.

I agree with you that i don't know when i would actually need less or more traction on my push off, but i guess its because if you decide to sell them to someone then they could either be left or right handed to use them.

Keep in mind too that it would lower the pro shops inventory by not having to stock a left and right handed shoe. Plus it would make it easier for a lefty to find a shoe on a spur of the moment  or emergency.

hey, thanks for your comments, it seems there are far more uses for the interchangeable push-off soles than i thought, it sure seems useful now and i'm gonna take them into account when deciding about my new pair

I've been a long time fan of Dyno Tour Ultras but I love my SST8's. Great traction, comfort and the new heels are great. They feel a little bulky at first coming from my ultras but it didn't take long to feel right at home. I hope the toe guards last and these don't fall apart. Try them, you'll like em.

I believe that it is a marketing improvement.  If you don't have to make
every shoe in each size both LH and Rh, but make it interchangeable, it
would make it much easier to manufacture as there is no changeover, thus
saving money.

Not to mention that now lefties can actually buy a premium bowling shoe in a wide width.
