Storm 3 bag roller problem (new member/returning bowler here)
« on: September 30, 2013, 03:51:31 PM »
Hey all, I am new to registering here, but I have been lurking a lot, reading up on some bowling ball reviews and what not. I decided to register and post today because I wanted the communities input on a Storm Rolling Thunder 3 Ball roller that I purchased from bowlingball.com.

I'm hoping to see if anybody here has had any similar issues, or have seen anything like this before, defect wise. Here are the photos from the first bag that I got right after opening it, the bag was new in the plastic. You can see the stitching completely coming apart. I wrote Bowlingball.com about it and they were very nice and they processed a replacement immediately.

I just got my replacement in just about an hour ago, opened the box, took the plastic off and snapped these photos. You can see the same kind of stitching is loose and the fabric is already coming detached from the plastic.

Could I please get some feedback from the community and players out there about this bag? I don't know whether or not to give it another try, or go with a different similar bag. The folks at bowlingball.com have been very nice so far so I am thankful for that.

I emailed Storm the first bag photos and they told me they could not handle my warranty claim directly since it could not be fixed with a part.

Any help or advice appreciated, it is great to be here!

Update- Bowlingball.com responded no less than 10 minutes after I sent them these photos. Very happy that I ordered from them to say the least :) Have to wait on a few things to see if I stick with a Storm bag, or go with another company. Maybe I'll get some good advice here as well.

Buy a KR bag. They have a 5 year warranty and they stand behind their bags 110%. I have had them more than one on different bags send me a handle on bag I didn't even buy new. They sent me it to me both times 100% free shipping included. They stand behind what they sell. Customer service is fantastic.

I'm going to do that. They are checking a few things and promised that my replacement would be thoroughly inspected before being sent so I am sure I'll be good on the 3rd. It just sucks that I've got off till next Monday and not only am I waiting on this bag, I'm waiting on my new shoes that won't be here till Friday, haha.
