what do you think of Etonic interchanable shoes?
« on: June 06, 2012, 07:16:19 PM »
I bought a typical inexpensive pair of Brunswick shoes 2 years ago from a pro shop in a emergency situation when I found out that after subbing in a league a few days before, my slide shoe came halfway apart and was deemed useless. Those were 3G's.

I didn't have them very long due to this. The Dynothane brand lasted a couple of years and once had my first interchangeable shoes from Dexter sst5 that fell apart on the pivot foot in 6 months. The only good thing I liked about the 3g's and Dynothanes is the toe cap. The only thing I liked about Dexter is you can just place the sole on the shoe without having to guide it due to the sole stitch on the 3g's which never understood the point of that.

Now my Brunswick shoes are starting to come apart but used some epoxy for a temp fix. I'd have to see it to believe it if Dexter improved in quality and their prices are too high. I saw a pair of Etonics as was originally just going to get regular shoes but at my house when it gets humid it's near impossible to slide and unless you want to put a bunch of ez slide on it you have to plant so having interchangeable shoes would help this.

The new etonics are a great concept.  I like them as it gives me more options to get that perfect feel especially because I travel to so many different houses

i've been using the etonic tour master shoes since october & they've been great. & if you look @ them today, they still look brand new. no sign's of wear & these shoes are very comfortable. the 3 tier interchangeable concept has been working out very well for me as well. i'd recommend these shoes to anyone.

I've had a pair of 3G's for 3yrs and they are still going strong!! I wear them about 3-4 times a week plus tournaments. I had a pair of Etonic Dress and they were very comfortable, but lasted about 11/2yrs. I had a pair of Dexter that didn't last hardly a year and will never buy another pair! I work in the bowling industry and will only use 3G or Etonic!!! Just my $.02, Bruce

thanks for the input. I'm going to get the Etonics interchangeables. They should last 2 years...hard to get anything more then that for me. I haven't had a pair of shoes that lasts forever since Linds were made in the states. Wish these shoe companies made a more solid product from where the shoe attaches to the sole so this doesn't happen. I btw not only me had my 3G's come apart on the slide shoe but bought my father in law a new pair and did the same thing in a year.

I did not like my etonics.  They did not last.

Storm shoes are exactly like the dexters.  Just talked to the storm rep.
