Widest based bowling shoes??
« on: February 02, 2007, 01:08:54 PM »
Im currently wearing SST5 Sports(the ugly high tops) & i just feel like i dont have enough balance with them.  I want something with a wider base to keep me a little more stable at the line.

I was considering etonic stabilites, but i dont believe they have changable heels.  The Tour ultras are every bit as thin as the SST5s i think.  & the SST7s r just as thin, & have a new rubber spot on the slide toe.

Im so confused & tired of searching bowling shoes over & over, can someone please help me?

I recently purchased a pair of SST5 Comforts to replace my SST 6LXs. They seem to have a wider base to them. I got mine from bowlingball.com and I think they still have a good sale going on them.

Whether you think you can, or whether you think you can't... you're probably right.

I kinda like the comforts, those are 1 pair im considering.

1 other thing, a couple people stated that its hard to match the tour ultra slide to the feel of dexters.  I dont slide much, definately less than 1 foot or so.  With dexters i used to use the claw, backwards, i now use either the claw heel forward or the ridged heel(with the lines).  I rarely use the red or brown slide sole, so i use more slide up front with tons of break for the most part.

Does anyone know if i go with tour ultras if i will be able to stop?
