What are the terms/conditions?  Sorry, not really familiar to this kind of thing..

$2 for the secretary fee via mumzie's paypal.

Bowl well.

Post scores for each corresponding week in the "ballreviews tournaments" thread.

Have fun.

Purchasing/leasing a league secretary program.

Tabulating all of each week's scores.

Rounding up all of the late scores long after the week's games have been bowled.

Doing all of this for eight months.

$2 isn't worth that much to you?

<shrug> - some people would rather not pay the $2. Instead, they'd rather pay $40 for brackets, $10 for pots and poker, and $15 league fees. Per week.

After that, if they keep losing, they can't afford the $2!!!

Thanks to all of you that have supported this - I hope the new format and stuff is worth your huge investment of $2!!!

Also - I'm not complaining. But - we have 26 teams - that's 52 bowlers. If everyone paid their $2 (a couple have not), when you take off the paypal fees, it's about $1.70 each. Let's say $1.70 times 50 bowlers. That's $85 bucks. The league secretary software was $129.00. This is NOT a money making proposition for me, folks - just a way to make it a little easier for me...

thats what i was thinking.  If someone else already paid it, why would the replacement have to?

In this case... why would a replacement have to pay $2?  It's not a lot, but didn't the original entrant already pay that fee?

1. The person I'm looking to replace didn't already pay.

2. As it is, it's not even close to a break even proposition for me. Geez - what's all the fuss about $2? Either you want to play, or you don't.

If you're new to this board, and don't understand all that I've put up with in the past 3 seasons of running the scratch doubles, you won't get it. If you've been around, I'm surprised you'd even ask.

I've done this completely free of any kind of charge for 2 seasons, doing everything basically manually. I've used excel, but the method was error prone, and sometimes I'd get behind by weeks.

I asked all participants to kick in $2 IN TOTAL FOR THE WHOLE SEASON) towards the purchase of a league secretary program to make my very busy life a little easier, and make the results better for the participants. Those who have been participating probably have an idea of what it takes to do this - it's not like everyone shows up in person once a week, you collect recaps, and you're done. I have to chase after idiots who sign up and then can't be bothered to show enough respect or support for their partners by either posting that they need a blind, or answering PMs sent to them requesting scores.

I hope that all current participants are getting at least $2 worth of enjoyment out of taking part. After all, there's no prize fund, no lineage fees, and $2 a YEAR is a really, really cheap secretary fee.

For what it's worth, I looked into getting the league secretary software sponsored, but there was an issue with having to pay to see the results on line that I didn't want to deal with.

Is there anyone here that thinks mumzie is helping to pay down her mortgage with this deal?

Already said I'd bowl....sheesh I could give a crap about the $2.  mumzie does a great service in doing this probably worth more than $2.  Shows you typical BR cheapskates.  <ie. Gee, I buy balls on-line and take them to my driller because I can save $10 rather than supporting my local driller.......typical.  >

I should be paid for reporting the scores I have been lately.  The fee is for making everyone else feel good about their bowling

no, i save $60 by buying online and getting it drilled.  Hey if your Mr. Money bags and want to throw $60 down the pisser, donate it to charity because christmas is right around the corner, and toys for tots would like that.  Or give it to someone who needs it.
