Pratice Drills
« on: February 28, 2008, 06:47:05 AM »
I needs some help with some practice drills. Bowling on a THS has made me develope some bad habbits. It seems like I always want to push the ball to the right to get it to the dry. What are some drills that can help me tighten up my line to the pocket. What are some drills that can help me tighten up my line to the pocket. Also what are some good drills to work on Accuracy

Thanks

Practice developing a more up the back release. The caveat however, is you are probably going to have to find a ball that will hit on a THS. Releasing the ball in a more up the back manner is not conducive to covering boards and it also will "burn up" if you are too close to the friction. Thats why I am not a believer in "the all balls work on house shots" theory, because quite frankly, they do not. Do house shots "blend" your ball reaction so its easier to get to the pocket? Yes. Can just anyone strike a lot? No.
