This is pretty incredible!

It's not the first bowler but on various angles after that you can literally see how the oil moves. I thought it was very cool.

That is really cool. Looks like the oil on the lanes actually forms a wave when the ball rolls through it. Neat.

You see the ball track after the ball moves down the lane but I believe that is not a wave of oil moving, it is the reflection of the ball. I think the eye gets tricked into seeing a wave but if you concentrate on it, you realize it's the ball reflection. As the ball gets down the lane it becomes more clear it's a reflection.

TD, I think your are correct.  I watched it again and it does look like a reflection.  Either way, still looks cool.

Check out how uneven the lane is when the ball is 3/4 the way down the lane.

One of the coolest parts of the video to me is like at 5:35 or so when you see the oil line the guys bowling on, and how close he gets to laying it down on that same exact spot.

Lsf good catch! That was a really cool shot you see him laying it down just to the outside of that line in the oil and you see the ball creating a new line. Very neat.

So, is that ball reflection or oil being dispersed.  I could see where it does look like ball reflection.  Anybody really know?  Otherwise it's good slow motion video footage.

It is definitely a reflection. There is nowhere close to enough oil on a lane to create a wake that big. If there was that much oil it would splash when you set down the ball.

I don't even know if its the reflection of the ball. It actually looks like dust that was collected on the lanes being blown off to the sides from the ball rolling. I don't know though just my opinion. Either way thats a pretty cool video to watch.

it is reflection.

also there have even been shoulder high videos that were on buddies pro shop where you could see the track where the oil was removed by the ball.

I guess my question is why if a lefty is on a side by himself we can clearly see his line, but for the right handers there was no definite line broken down into the lane? I found that interesting, but it might be a product of equipment used and surface.

It is also odd that you only see the one line from the lefty.
It might be that on the right side there are some many lines that its hard to see one distinct one.

If you look at 1:00 you can see the oil line for the righty and he lays it down right on top of the same spot.
