I guess I should post this here also instead of just the Brunswick forum.  In the future, I'd like to do one with multiple angles on a house shot, or comparing the Wicked Siege with another ball or two on a sport shot.

1) Slow foot work.
 
2) Muscling the release.

Interesting comments.  My timing is actually pretty good for this video (a huge weak spot for me in general).  If everything is in time, what difference does it make if the feet are fast or slow?  With my lower rev rate, the last thing I need on PBA type patterns is more ball speed.  I'm also slightly confused by the muscled release comment.  I'm not even sure how you can determine that with my wrist brace.  What exactly are you looking at?  My hand is open at the end of the release most of the time to keep from muscling it.

by looking at the video:

1. The slow foot work for me is that your not using your lower body enough. You dont really use your last step for you slide to create more leverage into your release. the more leverage you have the more constant your ball will read the pattern and go through the pins.

2. The muscled release is that you start the ball a little later which causes you to pull the ball. You are not letting the ball fall from the downswing. you are pulling it back and through to get back on time.

Correct bhsbigcountry, to add to the muscling  question, just take a look at your slide foot in your videos. When you had bad timing/muscled swing your slide foot jerks right. Your timing is very  inconsistent just from what your foot does. Sometimes it jerks a little (thats ok) sometimes a lot and sometimes in between. It also shows in how much your body turns sideways. Bad timing  your body turns along with your slide foot.Then you pull the ball inside your target.

Either one of these will make your feet go faster to keep up with a free swing/good timing .

I agree. The thing that many don't understand is that just because the ball does the right thing they think they are completely in time and not muscling their swing. Just because you threw some strikes in the video everything seems perfect. the ball was reading the pattern the right way most of the time but with a more free arm swing your misses will be a lot better.

Bowling isn't about making your good shots better, it about getting your body in the right position and in timing to make bad shots better. The reason why guys like Barnes, O'Neil seem to never be in trough is because their bodies are in such good position that their bad shots aren't as bad as ours.

My slide is something I tried to correct in the past.  It's a little better now, but I still go way past "filling the hole".  I have actually worked with Ron on this.  I do the exercises pretty decent, but with a ball in my hand, not so much.  When I first addressed it, I was starting my PBA league.  When I worried about my foot work, my accuracy was horrible and I wasn't willing to average 150 during the summer to keep working on it.

Some of the "falling off the shot" was actually to get out of the way for the camera.  This was supposed to be showing off the Wicked Siege.  I would have filmed myself a lot more if I was looking for form analysis (not that I mind any comments).  My arm swing is much less muscled than before, but it's always a work in progress.  It's actually been a long time since I worked with Ron maybe I'll call him and try to schedule something.
