Reaction Characteristics
The Ultimate Inferno is a heavy oil ball designed for bowlers who prefer Reactive over Particle coverstocks. The Ultimate Inferno uses the same core as the original Inferno but combines it with a solid 800-grit dull version of Activator coverstock.

Compared to the original Inferno:
-The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better to oily lane conditions, longer patterns and heavy carry down.
-The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better for bowlers who struggle with excessively long ball reaction.
-The Ultimate Inferno will match-up better on heavily oiled - over/under lane conditions.

Brunswick’s new Activator Coverstock has quickly established a reputation for excellence in ball reaction, durability and longevity of ball reaction. On the lanes, Activator Coverstock is clean through the heads with excellent mid-lane recovery and a strong arcing back-end reaction that creates powerful pin action. Owners of the original Inferno have reported that it requires less frequent resurfacing and rejuvenations and is more resistant to cracking than other reactive coverstock balls.

Out of the box: The Ultimate Inferno is an ideal heavy oil ball for players wanting to use a Reactive coverstock.
When shined: Using Brunswick’s Factory Finish High Gloss Polish the total hooking action of the Ultimate Inferno can be reduced and the arc made more skid/snap.

Reaction Setup
The Ultimate Inferno can be drilled using the standard drilling techniques developed for two-piece balls, see the included drilling instructions for reaction characteristics and layout details.

The Ultimate Inferno is finished with a dull 800-grit surface finish which increases its hooking action in the oil. Dull surface finishes can sometimes hook too early resulting in reduced backend reaction and hitting power. To increase length, polish the surface with Brunswick’s Factory Finish High Gloss Polish.

NEW HIGH GAME ON ULTIMATE INFERNO!! 253!!not much but since i'm only 13 & I've only bin bowlin for 1 and 1/2 years... I'll put it here anyway.. I don't know the exact layout of the ball but i know its drilled for maximum hook with less power on the backend.. but i didnt' like the hook so i got it polished and now it works wonders on medium-medium-oily lanes. this ball is amazing it skids till it hits buff then starts to roll.. and it rolls great.. rolls till about 3 feet down after the oil then SNAPZ right to e pocket! No rollout! just a strong reaction to e pocket ramming the pins down with excellent carrypower. No pin 10's!! this ball is amazing.. Especially since it has about 650 games on it along with 2X reconditioning... Its still burning and fresh! amazing ball. I recommend it to anyone looking for a heavy oil ball.. Peace Out Fellaz!

I'll try to make this short and accurate. The cover is very strong and will stand up very soon at the sign of any dry boards. This ball is a very rolly ball with a very strong turn reaction. Nothing near flippy or snappy. The predictability is superb. And the coverstock seems to be holding pretty well for such an aggressive ball.

My usual line with will be 15 to 5 or 3. While I find myself a lot going up the 5 board or playing a light swing on oiler lanes. Either way I find this ball to be very versatile for a lots of lane conditions. Still one of the better balls I've ever thrown.

All I have to say about this ball is, it rocks! I throw almost exactly as the illustration shows, about 25 to 15. It does exactly as it shows, and hits hard! I shinned it up a bit to tame the hook, but there's no stopping this ball. I haven't had it long, just a little over a month, but my best series thus far is a 734. Specs aren't as important as hitting your mark. I will be testing my UI in a state tourney on 4/9. She hardly ever has let me down.

Very strong ball. It is about 5-8 boards stronger than my Inferno. When yu shine the ball it gets better length and a strong backend reaction. Very good all around ball.

A great compliment ball to the Raging Inferno. It's very clean through the heads and has great recovery on the backend. On THS it's works perfectly. Even when the lanes are medium where there is dry to the right a little hold in the middle this ball still absolutely amazing. I am very impress.

Ultimate Inferno is a great ball for about two min. Becaus thats how quick it dies.The reaction is great but down the drain it go's after about three game set. Hay Ball Death what ball dies faster Big Bully, Gp2, Ultimate Inferno, Big Deal, Xxcel, Total Annihilation, Weapon of Mass Bias, Oracle, Flash Flood? That's just to name a few a!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since I hvae had this ball for several months now and been slacking on reviews here is a "real" review:

1st of all I have put about 100 games on it so far and it has no signs of stopping as long is it is cleaned properly (clean and dull or knock out after league every night).

Playing a little 10-5/12-5 bump off of the dry on a THS, ball revs up in the mids and once it hits the breakpoint, makes a hard and continuous arc through the pins. Ball hits very hard and pins stay fairly low, increasing carry %. Have used in 2 different houses playing a similar line in both. Have used it a lot during our summer sport league for a couple of shots a 44 foot flat pattern and a 38 foot flood. 44 feet started playing right up 5 with some fingers and UI seemed to cut through the oil and make its arc into the pocket without problem. Once it started to go high, I started moving in deeper and deeper. It seemed the more I moved in the more it hooked. Ended up playing 22 out to about 8 (or trying to anyways) until I finally put it away for another ball. 38 foor shot was able to play outside and stay there for there was enough oil up front (and no other lefties on the pair) for me to stay between 5-7 all night. Carry was an issue, ball was hitting the pocket but not carrying corners so switched to something else that had more backend (Absolute).

Overall this ball is first out of the bag in practice every night in league gives me a very good read on the lanes. Have tried different sufraces on the ball from 500 grit to 1500 grit with High gloss polish and the best surface for me has been at 1200 sanded. The UI is very predictable and controllable on a THS, and hits hard.
