1st Brunswick and coverstock is 1/32 thick
« on: May 14, 2008, 10:29:13 AM »
Just bought my first Brunswick ball, and had it drilled tonight. The ball is an Avalanche Pearl, drilled the fingers with no problem about 1/4" thick cover, move 5" down to drill the thumb for a switch grip, and all we can see is filler. I snapped a couple of pics with the camera on my phone, we put the ruler to the cover 1/32 of an inch. The ball was bought from a high profile proshop, who do you recommend I contact? Thanks, for all advise. http://www.putfile.com/gmdetective

Where you bought it at, going through an issue right now on a cracked xspower with legends think they are going to prong me because i am not the original owner even though i have never redrilled the ball.

Contact your pro shop where it was purchased. They will have no problem getting it replaced. Every ball I've drilled in the past 3 years has had at least 1/2" of cover material.

Step right up folks. This is how a grown man acts when he has the anonymity of the internet. A 34 year old that does not know how to spell "their". I know I am impressed.

I guess we could look at the bright side. Atleast he didn't use "there".

I thought this thread was about the coverstock problem gm has but I guess if you can't help him talk about something else.

As for the topic, GM if you contact brunswick they should help you. Had a similiar problem and they replaced the ball. Mine wasn't that bad though. Yikes!

Thanks to Ric for some Brunswick contact info, I will follow up with them later today. Yes I did finish having the ball drilled needed a ball for dry heads to bowl our state tournament coming real soon, looked up the warranty policy from the online shop, they don't pay to ship back to them or for drilling, so I may be out $18 plus $50.

Children (and I use the word advisedly),

Play nice now. Try not to sidetrack a thread that's important to someone else, if not you.

Thanks to Ric Hamlin for getting me the contact person with Brunswick R&D to solve my problem. The rep told me he has only seen this one other time in 10 years, they have sent me another ball, so all is well. Quick email and shipping responses all around from Brunswick.
