3-4 ball arsenal
« on: August 15, 2005, 06:26:48 AM »
what would be a good 3-4 ball arsenal from brunswick (excluding a spare ball) right now i have a smokin inferno laid out 4-1/2x4 great for med to med-dry lanes with clean backends...including that ball what would be a good arsenal?

thanks

Strike Zone for Heavy, Absolute for med/hevy, and a Punisher for drier conditions.  Depending on the type of dry you see, a power groove will work well.

I'll go with the first three

Strike Zone
Absolute Inferno
Smokin Inferno
Power Groove dry/R

I know ppl are going to gripe about the gap between the dry/r and the smokin but the punisher is gonna be way too much ball for dry IMO. Ppl here claim the pg dry/r goes straight as a board, I disagree...I've yet to see one go straight, I've seen this ball overhook consistently in my sport shot league by some average handed players. In my opinion your smokin will handle med-dry and the pg dry/r will work for dry better than the punisher.

I from experience have seen that the Punisher is way too much ball for dry. It is also much to skid/flip for my slower ball speed. I can't control it at all, even on the conditions that should be most acclimated towards it. I would definitely reccomend the Power Groove Dry/R for light/toast, as I have seen them have a clean, smooth reaction off the dry while still making it through the heads. From what I have seen, the Dry/R also hooks more than it is billed for.

As for a 3-4 ball arsenal:

1: Strike Zone
2: Smokin' Inferno
3: Power Groove Dry/R
4: Either a Goliath or an Impulse Zone, depending on if you want the last ball to go above or below the Strike Zone.

I usually find it necessary to keep at least one particle ball with me, they always offer a completely different reaction when nothing else works.

ahhh yes... its good to know, with the bowling season approaching soon, the slime has began to appear from behind the walls.

seems like an annual thing!

it took an IQ of an unripe tomato to come up with that.
