300 with the Violet
« on: March 28, 2006, 04:27:59 PM »
I knew I was gonna shoot some stuff with this ball, and darned if I didn't break it in right.  First game of the set was a little rough, I wasn't throwing it well at all.  I drilled the ball up and practiced with it last night (Monday), and the mids were absolutely destroyed on the pair I was bowling on, so I was lofting the gutters and hitting the royal crap out of the ball.  Needless to say, fresh shot on the oily side required a much different approach, lol.  Finally got everything worked back out at the end of the first game, 213.  Next game, front 4, 5 pin (slid off spot, the decks don't get cleaned very often, I don't think, happens a lot there), strike, 8 pin, turkey, split for 244.  Next game is pretty self explainatory.  This is the first 300 that I can be proud of though.  I made the shots, and got the hits.  All 3 in the 10th were dead flush, and I knew they were good off my hand.  No trip 4's, no cave ins, nothing.  Had two mixers and one kick 10, but those are pretty normal.  That ball is unreal.  Absolutely glides through the heads and revs up something fierce on the backend.  Doesn't read track burn too hard either.  Had 236 with it the first game of my next set too, but it wasn't quite moving soon enough (started getting a little over/under), so I switched to my Strike.  It's still giving me some problems . .  Lol, 993 for the first four games with a ball isn't bad . .

Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.
