Bruiser....best used on what conditions???
« on: April 12, 2005, 12:20:14 PM »
My ball spinner crapped out after 12yrs of duty so after discovering it was cheaper to buy new one then order new motor for old one ordered a Vertex from Buddies and decided to buy a bruiser since they were offered at such a good price (62 bucks).  I have lots of brunswick equipment having just bought a Impulse and also have several quantums.

Under what conditions would the bruiser be most effective?? Ball is 12lbs, 3-4inch pin and 2.5 top....recommend a good drill pattern???

I noticed when he pros were bowling this week-end that Duke did not use finger grips, is this common with pros??? Whats the advantage with no grips?? Also which way is better for thumb tape positioning??? white in front or black in back???  Thanks for the advice...Dr "C"

Bruiser is a pretty good medium oil condition ball.  Since you have a longer pin, I'd just stick the pin over the ring finger or out to the right a little bit (with CG in grip center).  No finger-grips has different results for everyone.  Some people get less revs.  Others, like me, have a much cleaner release and therefore get more revs.  It's really just preference.  For tape, you can really put it where you want.  White is rougher than black (more grip), so typically it's put on the front so you can grip it better, and black in back so you slide out more easily.
