The Classic Zone was the first one with this core. There''s actually two versions of the Classic Zone. The original green pin ones that had an Acivator+ cover stock I believe(or it could''ve been Activator). The red pin ones hooked less and used the cover stock from the Punisher I believe.

The Vapor Zone also used this same core and was a stronger ball overall.

I still use my green pin Zone Classic.  It has well over 1000 games on it and it still is my most consistent ball in medium oil/3rd games on heavier oil.  Awesome ball.

The original classic zone had original activator on it.

Other balls with that core were:

1. Vapor Zone
2. Impulse Zone
3. Strike Zone

I believe it was also used in the overseas Racing Zone and Comfort Zone

re core...AND I believe the RED Zone...

My son has looked real good with the Red Zone at times but it has started burning at times early...

Ah....so classic is Vapor with a little less backend.  Sort of like comparing the Inferno vs Absolute inferno but in Assymetric!  Ahhh..

I think he''s gonna like this green pin..

 And yes, the red zone.

The way you talked, I thought you already knew that one and even had one.

Strike Zone = Red Zone. Same ball different colors..

Classic Zone is the pearl to both of these (well, as close as it can get, anyways)

The impulse zone was a very good ball.I must have had 250 games on it, gave it to my oldest son he threw it for 3 more years. The ball hooked more for him then it ever did for me. Ball was a pin crushing beast!!!

Yep....from what I am reading the Strike Zone was just a dull version of the polished Red Zone.

My son''s Red Zone is now dull and it does not have the backend of the Strike Zone''s I saw in its day.  However it could be his roll...

It is sort of his control ball for medium heavy volumes.  The Classic looks similar for him but a little more push and a touch more backend

He has some balls that really jump off the spot from other companies.  But his Red Zone has garnered some nice sets for him.  With a very predictable move.

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS the classic looks like many more to come.
PPS Thanks for all the helpful comments above...

Red Zone = Polished Strike Zone. Both were great for me.

Zone Classic needed more dry, but it was good. Vapor Zone was awesome!!

Vapor is a quicker response cover stock on same core as the Classic....right?

REgards,

Luckylefty
PS similar to the relationship between Inferno and Absolute inferno on the symmetric side?  No?
