Bruiser, SmashR, and Time Zone all have
Powerkoil 18.  With a similar suface and drilling,
how much difference do these balls have?

I don't have a Smash/R, but I own a Bruiser and a Time Zone. If you didn't mess with the box surfaces, I'm thinking the Bruiser would fit between the SmashR & the TZ. The SmashR would want to roll the soonest, the Time Zone would be the flippiest, and the Bruiser would be in between.

the monster smashR came from the factory dull---the dull coverstock and the type of core it has means it's meant for oilier lanes. the other balls come from the factory polished and are better suited to medium conditions.

My assessment is similar as above, Smash/r is a very even predictable rounded early look.

Time Zone which I have is a a later rounded look,(for my drilling).  (cg out).

Bruiser seems to be right in the middle.

Time Zone is much more archy than I thought, but my experience had been with a similarly cored Revolution Rebel ECX drilled label leverage 3 3/8 X 4 1/2 and was quite strongly revvy and sort of flippy!

sorry, fell asleep at the keyboard ! the monster smashR doesn't have the old quantum core design. it's core was used in the command zone arc, attitude III, etc. the monster bruiser does have the familiar mushroom shaped core from the quantum line. the time zone has the core that was used on the revolution rebel ecx. given that the balls were drilled the same and had the same tweaks applied to the coverstocks i would say this:

1) monster smashR---most even, arc type roll. would handle the most oil.

2) monster bruiser---still a fairly "arc" type ball. better on a little less oil.

3) time zone---most skid-snap reaction of the three. great on medium conditions.

the coverstock is the one constant in these three balls. powrkoil 18 is best suited to lanes with some oil.
