Brunswick Ball for Drier Conditions
« on: July 06, 2006, 05:34:34 AM »
I own an Absolute Inferno along with a Strike Zone, both compliment each other very well and I wouldn't give up their predictability for anything.  The other night I am bowling a tournament on a typical house shot, all is going well, the Absolute is reading the lane very nice, although I had to start out playing 20 to 5 from the very first game.  Within 1 more game the lanes became disgustingly dry and my Absolute became insanely aggressive, just entirely too much ball for the condition.  Being that I like the roll and predictability of these 2 balls, can anyone recommend a Brunswick ball that would handle light-medium conditions and not be too snappy.  All comments and ideas are appreciated.

Absolute Inferno - 4" Pin to PAP (side of ring finger), CG in middle of grip

Strike Zone - 4" Pin to PAP (side of ring finger), MB between thumbhole and VAL

I have been having the same problem at the house I bowl at. 1st game the AI is almost flawless. Early in the 2nd game I can not make an adjustment to keep it from snapping hard at the headpin. I tried using my BI and even it is burning up at the pins. I have seen others with a similar style to mine go to a Monster SlayR with good success. This is the ball I am going to get for these conditions. Does anyone think that a PGR might be better?

These are the league conditions on our Sunday night mixed league. I thought of the Smokin (SI) but if my Blazing Inferno (BI) is burning up at the heads I think the SI would be too much. No?
