Mom needs a new bowling ball
« on: August 03, 2005, 05:27:52 AM »
My moms is getting older and is also developing carpal tunnel like problems with her wrist/hand.  It's painful watching her try to swing her 14lbs bowling ball anymore so I'm gonna pick her up a 12lbs ball but I'm not sure which one.

She wants something that will "hook" but she doesn't really know much about bowling balls.  Right now she's averaging 180 with her 15 year old Wine Rhino.  She throws around 14 or 15 mph, not sure about exact revs but she has a good rev/speed balance, not too much speed for her revs, not too many revs for her speed, low 3/4 tracker, 45 degree rotation.

I had to break it to her that Brunswick no longer make the Rhino bowling balls so I'm looking for something new for her from Big B. I'm thinking of a strong reactive that will be versatile, cover medium-light to medium-heavy.

So I'm looking for a versatile bowling ball from the new lineup available in 12lbs.

If you have to stick with track then go with Slash. Like D Pat said that ball is kind of early OOB. I would polish it. Inferno is a very solid ball and would work quite well for the house condition you have described.
